The Blizzard Background Downloader started doing its thing today, meaning patch 2.3 is nearing completion, but perhaps not imminent. Nethaera had this to say about it:
It's the background downloader starting to prep everyone for 2.3. So yes, it's coming along and is near. However, I wouldn't stop what I'm doing just yet.. ;)
